More nonsense

There is a certain danger in books, most specifically fictional works by authors whose descriptions and placement of words make the scenes all the more vivid to someone with an adequate imagination, maybe even someone with little imagination. To someone possessing of a creative spirit akin to those writers, even if they cannot perhaps put such spirit into such compelling organization, it becomes almost real.

Until the book is finished, put down forever, the story enraptures, takes on a life of its own as the mind ponders all the possible outcomes of the conflicts described within the text. The suspense, or romance or whatever is being consumed by an eager consciousness, urged on by the subconscious desire to know to understand as only these pieces of fantastical (though possibly more realistic than reality) can inspire.

You know...that actually sounds like a neat way to explain why reading is a good thing. It also explains why my mom would find me up at 5 am having not gone to bed the night before due to reading a book.

Yes, I suppose so...I'm still not sure why I wrote it though. Lately I've been writing things like this, but it doesn't really feel like me writing. I mean, they are my sentiments and what I've been thinking, but it isn't something that I would normally put into words outside my own head.

Maybe I'm just getting philosophical in my ripe old age of 23-fixing-to-be-24...

Two nights in a row I've done that, stayed up til way past the time I should normally be in bed just so that I can read a little more, or even finish the books off. I can read a thousand page book in a little over eight hours, sometimes more because my mind will be so caught up in what's happening, that I have to get up and pace so that I can think things through before I go back to reading.

Every once and awhile I think of something that sounds smart but by the time I get anything written down I've forgetten already and what I do remember doesn't sound as good:)

I do that with fanfiction sometimes. This one time I was up till 5am reading a fanfic because I didn't want to wait till the next day to find out what happened.

Yeah! I'm not the only pacer in the world!
