| My brother made me watch Arrested Development this weekend and I LOVE IT. So very clever. I'm going through the whole series on Hulu right now. Almost done with S1.
That is all. | |

| After being confronted by not one but two mods on GW, I've realized that I cannot even insinuate on that forum that there may be conflict between the SGA PTB and one or more actors. Even though Torri stated that she kept on going to the writers asking for more, they waved her away, and later that season they told her she could drop to recurring or leave. Even though JF has made numerous comments at cons about how TPTB no longer do script read-throughs, that his ideas often get rebutted into oblivion, etc etc. Nope, zip it at GW. You aren't allowed to infer that conflicts have occurred or are still occurring. The only assumptions that are apparently allowed are that everything is peachy keen in real life, people are never dumped or otherwise insulted because they don't get along with the people in charge, everyone loves everyone. If you think otherwise, you have to keep your damn mouth shut. Got it. Pass the kool-aid, eh?
And I love how people indirectly slam comments by gushing over their rebuttals. Simpering, "oh, your post was GREAT! So full of LOGIC and COMMON SENSE!" or "Finally, a post with some SANITY!" Bunch of cowards.

| The Official Rules: 1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like. 2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle. 3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards! 4. Do ten of these, then post them. Some of these are depressingly short because I really tried to stick to the rule about "end when the song does" and especially on that Johnny Cash one I spent more time just going gooey because...well Johnny Cash man. Anyway, I do not apologize for my random taste in music, but I do apologize for...everything else. I'm not built for drabbles and I think that shows. ( Enter at your Own Risk ) | |

| Someone has graduated from university. I'm afraid it might be me. :D
It was a horribly long ceremony that was unfortunately chilly. I was under the impression that this was the south in the summer. Apparently I was wrong. So of course, I only had a sundress, but it turned out okay because graduation gowns are made to keep you as warm as you can be without your eyeballs melting.
It also turns out that when she has to go to formal events my mam turns into a French version of Jackie Tyler. Her hair is naturally blonde, but I swear, whatever she did to it today made it look like it had been inexpertly bleached. And then viciously attacked by all kinds of styling implements until it had been fried to a crisp. And then teased. Normally, she uses a taupe eyeliner and one coat of mascara. Today, she had rimmed the insides *and* outsides of her lashes in thick black eyeliner and used five coats of black mascara. I know that for a fact 'cause I watched her do it. She did wear a very nice dress, because despite being poor, she's still French. However, she wore a pair of Dinkles with it. For those who didn't suffer through seven years of marching band, those are the black shoes marching band members wear on the field. They're designed to keep you from falling whilst you're walking backwards and simultaneously protect the field from an entire marching band. They're also the ugliest things ever invented. The worst part though was when she flirted with the guy I'm kinda not dating. I don't even think she realised it, but there was definitely playing with his dreads. And remarking that he was "a quite handsome young man; [who was] lucky [she's] not twenty years younger."
I officially moved back home today. I'm going to be here until June so my time on the internet will be a bit spotty. Then, I'm going to Virgina for two months and then I'm moving to Greenville sometime in August. Both Kim the Vegan and I got jobs there so we're going to be living together. She's going to be teaching Advanced Seventh Grade Maths and I'm working at ECU. I'm looking forward to it. It's a college town so it has alot of the things I'm used to, but it's also rural enough to have things like grass and trees and parks.
I need a Ponder Stibbons icon. *goes to remedy this problem*

Thanks in advance! - Mood:curious

| When with revelers the white crimson dawn Comes to join the persistent Ideal, Through the operation of an avenging mystery An angel is awakened in the sated brute
The inaccessible blue of Spiritual Skies, For the crushed man who still dreams and suffers, Opens and sinks down with the attraction of the abyss. Thus, dear Goddess, lucid pure Being
Over the smoky wrecks of stupid orgies Your memory more clear, roseate, and charming, Ceaselessly hovers before my wide-opened eyes.
The sun has darkened the flame of the candles; Thus, always conquering, your phantom is like The immortal sun, O soul of splendor!

| I'm just a little on a Twilight high right now. I assume all you fangirls have seen this and flailed immensely? *fangirly scream* So yeah. Twilight. Hottness. Amazing. And you can fight over Edward vs. Jacob all you like, just as long as you leave me in peace with Jasper. Aiight? (and Alice, too, if she wants to join) | |

| I just finished The Good Guy and I absolutely loved it. I read about it when I had got and read The Husband in paperback in March and I couldn't wait for The Good Guy to come out in paperback in stores. I saw it at the grocery store and finished it just a few minutes ago. | |

| Yeah, this is going to be long. ( 3x15-Time is on my Side )Anyway, I'm so excited for next week. That preview was hard to watch though. Am I going to cry?! I hope it's not a cliff-hanger. I want to know Dean's hell-status by the end of next week. No waiting all summer. =( *iz nervous* It is so lame that I just typed out all that. Oh well, I love me anyway. - Mood:geeky

| I can't even believe what has happened in my fake television world right now. Supernatural was so freaking crazy. Or at least the last part. I will have to make an actual post tomorrow (i know you're on pins and needles. heh) when I am not too lazy to cut and it's not 12:30. But...things happened. And I went what? And then I went WHAT?! Also, there was something about some kinda deal and hell and some guys named Sam and Dean. I don't really know. But that stuff didn't make me go what? It was the other thing.
And I realize none of this makes sense because nothing that happened in the ep was really shocking (except maybe that one thing...). Nothing that happened in the show really made me go what? It's what happened in my head that's so crazy. IN MY HEAD PEOPLE.
Yeah, I clearly need to go to bed.

| KAVAN ON SUPERNATURAL HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEE!!!
Ok, two minutes in and I'm already jumping up and down. Back to the ep.
Oh wait...I just realized that he's in the teaser. This probably ain't gonna turn out good. RUN KAVAN RUN!
Does this count as spoilery? I'm going with no.

| Okay, there's been enough angst in here with all this housing shit. Time to post things that make me happy: -After a slow start (is anyone else having a delayed spring this year?) the trees are budding, the tulips are starting to open, and the grass is green! The crabapple trees should blossom next week (see journal header)! The birds are out in full force! We saw our first egret and heron last weekend! -WE ORDERED THE CANON 500MM LENS YESTERDAY OMG. Yes, this lens. Yes, I had to ask for a limit increase on my credit card in order to purchase it. O_O Oh, I can't wait to use it! -Trip up to the cities this weekend, complete with bird watching, shopping, and all around relaxation! -My final day in lab is June 2, which means I get about 20 days off before starting orientation. Freedom! -My entire family is coming up next weekend for the MD/PhD graduation! I'm so excited! -New 30 Rock tonight, yay! -New BSG tomorrow, yay! | |

| Well, Mom, EVERYBODY'S doing it. Again, I should be studying for an exam, but I'm doing this instead. I only did five, but I guess it's better than nothing at all, right? And anyway, it was great fun. This would be an awesome way to come up with plotbunnies... | |

| Whoot! Four finals down, and one to go, and then I will be done with this semester. Frankly, I'm rather glad, as this school year has just been exhausting, mentally and physically. Things of achievement: I'm done with Genetics. And Latin, but I'll actually kind of miss Latin, whereas I won't Genetics. I've written twenty-five pages worth of religion papers in the past week and a half. And also managed to use the word God four times in a two-line sentence at least once. English really needs to just come up with a gender-neutral pronoun that doesn't imply lack of personhood. I have also, if it was at all possible, turned into more of the my group's school mommy than I was before. Things I need to post on later, when sentience and sapience have returned to me: 1. Tenn-Renn experience. 2. Quidditch Club and the leaving ceremony they held for us graduating seniors. 3. Thinky-thoughts about experiences of sexism, as both havocthecat and medie keep me turning over things in my head about my experiences as it relates to what other people experience, but always when I have no spare brainpower to talk coherently about the subject. | |
